Dieting is a tricky concept. There are a lot of variations in it, and most people try to suggest what works for them as an individual. However, recent studies have shown that diets are individual specific. This means that what kind of diet works for you, does not necessarily work for your friend. Still there are myths that are associated with dieting and some of them are.
1) Snacking is bad.
Snacking can be considered as healthy. It is said to be really important in people that require a stable blood sugar. Snacking can also prevent you from going too hungry in between meals and you tend to avoid over eating in the next meal. There are many healthier options available in the market today and you can have a little snack now and then.
2) Your plate should be clean.
Though wasting your food should be avoided, it is never a good idea to overeat. Most of us tend to over eat because we take bigger plate portions than what our body needs. You train your mind to finish everything on your plate and you indulge in binge eating. Know when your body is full and don’t eat more if you don’t want to.
3) Don't eat before exercising.
